My Mission

Developing and educating professional owners, clubs, staff, teams and individuals to become a better version of themselves, their club or investment, to make sure we do NOT loose the enormous potential presently in place!

I think we can do a lot better, a lot more structured approach to bring much more out of the product football whatever your plan is with you club, team or career.

Sharing my knowledge and experience might contribute to having better organised clubs, teams or individuals with greater ROI.

My Background

Yes I am an ex professional player in the game. No I didn't take things for granted. I worked very hard to get to where I am now.

From the Netherlands, to Belgium to the English Premier league and back, as a player. During my active playing career I was already busy with becoming a coach (thanks Huub Stevens and Dick Advocaat) which in the end brought me to head coach/manager in the Dutch Premier league, Cypriot Premier league and Israeli Premier league as well as being an Academy Director, Elite Developer, Head of Coaching and much more in top academies in Cyprus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Israel too. In all of these countries "we" set record breaking results (more players in national teams, more academy players in 1st team and yes, more championships but that's the least important).

I took my UEFA A license during my active career and my UEFA PRO license when I was just finished.

I was blessed to have great coaches as examples but the best is, educating yourself, doing it yourself, make mistakes and keep learning. You will become better and better while being a lifelong student of the game.

About Me

People say; one of the nice things about you, you don't have an ego. It's true, I do not feel too big for anything or anyone who wants to develop. I guide and advise owners, higher management, coaches and individual players who want to go to the next level. Who want to talk, to think together, to learn, to share.

I am a good listener, without judgement, without ego. That's why I look to make a connection, create a good vibe but for me it is always about both parties involved; You and me!

More important is the way I look at developing. I love teaching, coaching and bringing structure to who or where-ever it is requested. I'm open, humble and approachable.
→Ray2Way← is really two↔ways, because I am focused on you, therefore you are the key. Most of the time I know in which direction to guide you, rarely I don't, but even then it's good to know someone who listens to you and reflects. It's very common in top jobs all over the world.

Projects

I have lectured (Wingate Institute and Dutch Pro Coaches Association) and mentored/guided many coaches, football coaches, mental coaches, video coaches, physical coaches and players in my career.

During Covid-19 I educated my professional team and staff online through tactical and strategic assignments and questionairs in multiple languages, which then was followed by our academy teams.
I have given numerous workshops to professionals from many countries. Presented to parents, stakeholders and recruiters, both on- and off-line.
Did podcasts (Way of Champions) and worked for TV (ESPN).

Gave demonstration training sessions for federations (IFL) as well as clubs.
